New Eden is the name for the star cluster which is inhabited by the human race. The term is colloquial in nature, as the name is alternately applied to every star system in the galactic neighborhood, only those that have been explored and cataloged by humans, or solely those which are currently connected by working stargate networks.
Today New Eden turns 14 years old and here at CCP, wed like to wish a happy 14th anniversary to all our pilots across the globe!May 6th, 2003 marks the date when a flood of budding young intrepid pilots took to the skies with grand hopes and aspirations. 14 years on, those ideas and values have become the cornerstones of a thriving virtual world that that has been transformed into a living, breathing space saga that spans more than a decade of emergent storytelling.From the second New Edens stargates first powered on, every action has had a reaction and every pilots aspiration and dream has been laid bare in the cosmos of EVE Online. Your successes, failures, struggles and triumphs have weaved an intricate player written backstory that now spans a colossal 14 years, or 5114 days.It seems like only days ago we were celebrating the start of the second decade with EVE Onlines 10th Anniversary, yet here we are together, community and developers, marching relentlessly toward the midpoint of the second decade with New Edens 15th anniversary next year.
In absolute terms of isk value to RL cash paid out, worth it, you also got a sweet rifter model, and an awesome book.In regards the mystery code from then on, a complete letdown, I think Valkyrie players still havn't had the items they were promised, and despite being repeatedly told that the mystery code holders would get something for big events, virtually nothing has been given out for years, which saw some big big events, citadels, 13th, 14th birthdays, big CCP anniversary, Eve going free to play.Its really disappointing.

March 12, 2018Hello NERds!Today marks one of those bi-annual days where the United States and other countries lose their collective minds and decide the time has shifted by an hour. Today it is shifting an hour later in the US where I am writing you from today. However, as New Eden Radio runs its schedule off of the GST timezone which does not shift during daylight savings time some of our affected listeners may notice a shift in when shows now start.For example my shows now start from 6 PM and go to 8 PM PST (GMT-8) instead of 5 PM to 7 PM PST (GMT-7), that it has been running during the period of the year we take the clocks back an hour.
