Explore the Estes Park Fairgrounds and Events Complex this weekend and discover new merchandise, animals and processes. The Market is both Saturday and Sunday and admission is free. There will be multiple kid’s activities, demonstrations, live animals and so much more.Over 70 vendors will be at the 2019 Wool Market, and Susan Mock, owner of the Stitchin’ Den is one of them. She opened the Stitchin’ Den in 2000, and said that it is your one-stop shop for all your supplies for knitting, needle work, quilting, weaving and more. She has been involved in the Wool Market for years, and is a part of the Vendor Selection Committee that works to select all the top notch vendors each year.Mock said that the Committee is made up of an eclectic group of community members, who come together to choose vendors with keeping in mind what customers are looking for and how to expand the Wool Market.“We give respect to returning vendors, as there have been vendors that have been in the show since the beginning,” Mock said.

“It can be hard choosing sometimes because we get some awesome vendors we just can’t find space for.”She said the Committee works together to make sure there is a wide array of vendors and what they offer.“We have a visual of past selections so we know what will fit it,” Mock said. “We don’t want to have too many focused on spinning or yarn, we want a nice variety because it isn’t just yarn, it is a fiber festival.”Mock will be there this weekend with a brand new booth, focusing on a fiber from an indie dyer and woman-owned business out of North Carolina called A Hundred Ravens. They will also have fibers from Willow Creek Mill right out of Estes Park and more. There is more than vendors at the Wool Market though, with a whole range of fiber animals from goats to rabbits to see and learn about.
