So I'm getting back into the Sims and decided to download sims 3 plus all the expansions. After a long time contemplating which neighborhood I want to play in, I can't decide between Twinbrook & Starlight Shores.

I know both are very different but I like the cozy, yet mysterious feel of Twinbrook. At the same time I'm drawn to Starlight Shores because it seems like it'll have a nice nightlife and I like the layout of it. Any feedback/gameplay experience in either of the two is much appreciated!:).

My vote goes for Twinbrook, mostly because it's awesome that almost everything is so central. Starlight Shores mostly seemed like the best place for a performer to me, but putting in the buy mode bars from late night might make it cooler, I'm not sure how different the drinks would be if you didn't change the lot designation though.Either way, my votes for twinbrook, changing red rendevous to a dance club, a couple of houses in the swamp to dive bar, local watering hole and sports bar, and finding a couple spots to place more. I found a very cool (to me) dance club on the exchange called club poison. I love the style, but haven't played it yet and deleted the generations potions since it'd be too tempting to have them out in the world. My most recent play is in Sunset Valley though, and I gotta say, I love getting the Beautiful Vista moodlets, which is only available on one premade lot in Twinbrook. Don't personally know about starlight shores. Depending on what you want your sims to start with/if you plan on multi generations, you could start in one and move to the other when you want to focus on certain careers/stories.

Sunset

I haven't really played either world much, neither one is really one of my favourites.Twinbrook is a really nice, plain type town. I love exploring all of the swamp and the rest of the town!

All of the lots that come with Ambitions are already placed, so I don't find myself placing random stores in residential areas that I do with other towns. For me, Twinbrook is more of a family-type town, that is more comforting and inviting.

Plus, I love the puns in the Sims' names!I do like to play Starlight shores too, though. If you are looking more for nightlife, or having a Sim in the performing careers, then Starlight shores may be better suited. The houses are much more modernistic and expensive, and may lack the homely feel that Twinbrook holds. In my games, I usually make families and generations, so I would be more likely to choose Twinbrook, but in the end is all up to how you want to play your Sims. Later on though, you will be able to move if you do not like the decision you made.:D.
