From whatever references you can find to the Pip-Boy, it seems to be wrist-mounted. Even if you disregard descriptions of it being wristmounted, then there's the fact that characters can see the Pip-Boy on you throughout Fallout 1 and 2. I recall a conversation in Fallout 2 where someone points to that 'Map thing' that you have, and unless they can see into your bag that probably means it's wrist mounted.I also seem to remember that Van Buren's Pip-Boy was wrist mounted, but I'm unsure whether it was meant to be a different model.
